Awkward on Tour

Um, so I work for a lot of bands.  Um, I work at the venue the Living Room, and I was on tour with a band.  And we were in Vermont.  And our lead singer's girlfriend had decided she wanted to come visit.  And, uh, we're all from Rhode Island, and she's from actually very Southern Rhode Island, from Coventry.  And so she drove the four hours up to, like, very top of Vermont, and her car breaks down, out of the blue.  She's only seventeen, so her car dies while on the highway, and it's, like, three-o'-clock in the morning.  Um, so there's no one around--which is really good.  So we pull off the highway, and we kind of just coasted it down the hill.  And, um, she's hysterically crying.

We have these weird hitchhiker people come up to us while her car's dead, and we're all in the van with, like, the rest of the band.  And, um, she starts hysterically crying and, um, can't do--can't function or anything.  So I had to use my Triple-A card to have her car towed all the way back here, it was like, 200 dollars (which kind of sucked).

But, um, these hitchhiker people come and start talking to us, like, "What's going on, you wanna go, you know, like, hang out with us?"

And we were really sketched out but we need a place to crash, so we're all like, "Yeah, sure, we'll just go hang out with your...whatever.  We'll drive you back to your house."

So we ended up in a trailer home (like, a bunch of trailers all together).  And, um, all these people they're, like, have, like, they're like very religious and really weird.  But, um, we get,  ended up not sleeping there, and just [?] left in the middle of the night.  But, while they were all sleeping we got up and left.  It was very awkward.
